At Trifection, strength is about more than how much weight you can move. It’s about building a body that is capable, resilient, and prepared for real life. Strength training should support your ability to work, play, recover, and show up consistently—not leave you broken down or chasing the next personal record at the expense of your health. Our approach emphasizes proper movement, progressive loading, and intelligent intensity so strength becomes something you can carry with you long term, not something that burns out quickly.

Balance is where most people realize something has been missing. It’s not just flexibility or recovery—it’s learning how to slow down, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with your body. Through intentional movement, breath work, and yoga, we create space for recovery, awareness, and resilience. Balance allows the body to absorb strength instead of constantly resisting it, and it helps the mind step out of fight-or-flight so real progress can happen. This pillar exists to keep you moving well, thinking clearly, and staying grounded as life gets busy and demanding.

Nutrition at Trifection is about fueling with intention, not restriction. We use a macros-based approach to help people understand how food supports their training, recovery, and daily energy—not to micromanage every meal. This isn’t a diet, a challenge, or a set of rigid rules. It’s about building awareness, consistency, and sustainable habits that fit real life. When you understand what your body needs and why, nutrition becomes supportive instead of stressful, helping you feel better, perform better, and stay consistent long term.

My name is Mitch Bass, and for most of my adult life I lived at a constant level ten.

I spent 14 years in the military, including two deployments to Iraq and eight years as a drill sergeant. I learned discipline, structure, and how to push past limits most people never touch. I also learned how easy it is to disconnect from yourself when toughness becomes the only metric that matters. For a long time, my identity was built around performance, control, and pushing harder—because that’s what I was trained to do.

After the military, I gravitated naturally toward CrossFit. It made sense. High intensity. Competition. Community. It gave me an outlet and a sense of purpose, and it taught me a lot about strength and resilience. But over time, I started to notice the same pattern I’d lived before: always pushing, rarely recovering, and quietly carrying stress, anxiety, and unresolved trauma under the surface.

My entry into yoga wasn’t planned. It was a response to hitting a wall—mentally and emotionally. What I found there wasn’t softness or weakness, but awareness. Breath. Stillness. A way to turn the volume down and actually feel what was going on inside my body and mind. Yoga became the missing counterbalance to everything I already knew about strength.

That’s where Trifection was born.

I don’t believe in extremes anymore. I don’t believe health should come at the cost of burnout, injury, or emotional isolation. What makes my approach different is that I don’t coach from theory—I coach from lived experience. I understand intensity, structure, and discipline. I also understand what happens when balance is ignored for too long.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of strength, balance, and nutrition—not as separate boxes, but as a connected system. I coach people to build capable bodies, resilient minds, and sustainable habits that support real life. I advocate openly for mental health because I’ve seen firsthand what happens when it’s avoided, minimized, or ignored.

Trifection isn’t about chasing a perfect body or a temporary result. It’s about longevity, connection, and learning how to live strong without losing yourself in the process.

What Trifection Stands For:

Trifection exists to help people build a life they can sustain — physically, mentally, and emotionally. This work is for those who are tired of extremes, quick fixes, and feeling like they have to break themselves down just to feel accomplished. I coach people who want to be strong without being burned out, disciplined without being disconnected, and healthy in a way that actually fits real life. This matters to me because I’ve lived on both ends of the spectrum. Years of pushing at a constant high intensity taught me how to be tough, but they also showed me what happens when balance is missing. Through coaching, movement, and honest conversations around nutrition and mental health, my goal is to help people reconnect with their bodies, regain trust in themselves, and create habits they can carry for life. Ultimately, Trifection is about longevity — not just in fitness, but in how we show up for ourselves and the people we care about.
